Pest control was not specifically mentioned despite representations to the Premier and the Health Minister. The South Australian Government, however, has referred to the Essential Services Act 1981.
Following on from this reference, The Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association (AEPMA) has contacted the Commissioner of Police in South Australia confirming that pest control operations will continue under the Act as per correspondence to the commissioner.
We have been advised that we can proceed with the following:
• Termite Inspections and treatments (comes under the safety of occupants of buildings)
• Treatment of Pests known to spread viruses (health)
• Treatment of Biting pests (health and safety)
Given this direction, we are able to attend bookings for the above services as scheduled. However, our attendance will be under strict compliance with our COVID-19 Procedure and Screening Process below.
Alternatively, if you no longer wish to go ahead with your booking, please let us know. As you would appreciate, it's our busiest time of year at the moment - rescheduling is tricky! If you're happy to wait for us to visit, please contact us with some dates and times in the New Year that work for you and we'll secure a new time for you.
Naturally, this is a fluid situation and we will continue to update clients as soon as possible.

In the interests of maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone, we ask that you carefully read and agree to abide by the following before Michael and Sam attend your scheduled booking.
CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY TO RESCHEDULE IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLIES:
You or any of your close personal contacts have returned from (anywhere) overseas in the past 14 days.
You or any of your close personal contacts have returned home from any COVID-19 Hotspot in the past 14 days.
You or any of your close personal contacts are under self-isolation for suspected coronavirus (or a close contact of suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus).
You or any of your close personal contacts are unwell or displaying cold or flu-like symptoms.
You any of your close personal contacts have been confirmed to have coronavirus.
You or any of your close personal contacts are under self-isolation for any other reason.
WHAT MICHAEL AND SAM ARE DOING:
Where soap and water are unavailable, they're using hand sanitiser before and after they enter and exit a home/property and every time they enter and exit their vehicle.
Wearing additional, disposable PPE, where possible.
Not engaging in handshakes/physical greetings.
Maintaining the recommended 1.5-2m personal distance, where possible.
Limiting the items they come into contact with while onsite at your home/property.
Allowing plenty of time in their schedule to talk you through any queries or concerns you may have.
Not accepting your offers of drinks or food at your home/property.
WHAT YOU MUST DO:
Ensure that when we visit, all adults and children present at your home/property maintain the recommended 1.5-2m distance from us.
Ensure there are no more than two people in the same room at the same time.
Ensure all kids’ toys, pet toys, bowls etc. are out of the way, so we don’t need to touch them to move them.
